Job Summary:
• Sustain and support MTN’s organizational culture and philosophy through its ways of working, employees and its interaction with internal stakeholders.
Description:
- Responsible for communicating information internally throughout the organization. This includes the intranet, newsletter and events.
- Develop tools, channels and materials and establish the structures for internal communication through formal and informal mediums.
- Ensure all internal communications are clear, well timed, engaging, of a high quality and consistent with content and style
- Draft messages or scripts for senior executives for presentation to employees.
- Provide communication support to the corporate Programs and project implementations.
- Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.
- Liaise with the Group Engagement and Communication team as well as the Corporate Communication team to ensure alignment and consistency in communication and messaging
- Implement the critical components (e.g. Vital Behaviors, reward strategies) that define the working culture in the organization.
- Adopt the overall Group Culture operating system infrastructure, cultural levers, organizational values and beliefs and localize elements specific to the Opco.
- Identify and develop drivers for employee engagement based on motivation factors that encourage employees to align themselves to the organization culture.
- Liaise with the Group Engagement Culture and value proposition team and seek assistance in implementation where necessary.
- Identify and develop Opco relevant channels that may be used to engage with employees.
- Implement and manage the employee engagement strategy and model.
- Develop, implement and manage employee engagement calendar and policy.
- Implement the EVP strategy defined by Group aligned with business priorities and localize elements specific to the Opco.
- Be responsible for maintaining the information security of MTN physical or information assets that they access, use, or manage as per the company policies.
- Perform Ad-Hoc duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in communications, public relations or media is an advantage, though other related studies are often acceptable
• Minimum 4-5 year’s relevant working experience
